They closed the schools today. My children want to know if they get the day off from homeschooling. Their dad told them that the only way they could have a 'flood' day was if there was a river of water flooding the house. There are some disadvantages to homeschooling.
Let's hope they don't decide to plug up the tub and let the water flow.
Last year we were in a ten year drought. I guess God is storing up the water for this summer. Meanwhile, the house is mildewing outside, the garden is a muddy river and the driveway is a 'slip-n-slide.' On one main highway, next to a pond, I dodged five turtles trying to cross the road...all at the same time.
Other than the fact we are considering building an ark, it's life as usual on the farm.

Lol. A day of school is always exciting. I bet they're thinking of ways to get out of it.
A 10 year drought? wow. Where do you live? That sucks that your house is mildewing and you have a muddy river. I've only ever seen a turtle cross a road once!
There used to be a house next door...they tore it down (oh it was horrible!). So now, instead of a house we have a lake. And thanks to the rain yesterday, it's a big lake! The only good side is a pair of ducks like it and are having fun over there. So we're feeding them. You need some ducks to make it better!
These verses are so very comforting. The Holy Spirit Himself is praying for you!
Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
I would beware of that flooded tub idea!! I am sure it has been pondered!!
@lmworley416 - We had a duck once.. we used to let it swim in the tube when it was a duckling. They are selling them at our hardware store...right now I want a pair. lol
@MOM2_4 - I wouldn't put it past the little stinkers. LOLHey, another homeschooler! I only have one, but now that he's a teenager he thinks he knows it all; HA! How long have you been homeschooling?
